OFFSHORE

I have been working with offshore platforms since 2011. During this period I could have participated in many large projects in Norway. I was able to work as a consultant for large companies such as Wood Group Mustang and Aibel. I am beyond thankful to be able to work in international teams where my colleagues came from different parts of the world (Singapore, India, Iran, etc.) beacause this way I could meet many engineering solutions and methods. These offshore structures are real engineering challenges, which highlighted the importance of teamwork.

MARINE

This structre engineer field gave me very interesting and complex projects. I worked with marine operations, offshore and subsea lifting, sea transportation, ship deck modifications and cable layout tools. I did most of this kind of work at norwagian companies such as Bowline and VARD company. I really loved the challenges these special tasks gave me.

BRIDGE

After university, I started my career as a bridge engineer in Uvaterv Ltd. During this 5 years I spent here, I designed and calculated several underpasses and overpasses for the M3, M35, M43, M5, M7 motorways. In addition, I also prepared static calculations for bridge renovation, test loading of railway bridges. Fortunatelly, I didn't have to completely move away from the design of bridges after this beautiful period either. I made structural calculation of several pedestrian bridges in Norway. I took part in the structural calculation of the construction technology of Norwegian, American and South Korean bridges.

UNDERGROUND

I am beyond thankful to be able  to participate in the design of such a special engineering structure as the Kálvin Square metro station in Budapest. I think this is one of the sturctures that every engineer dreams about. As structural engineer at Uvaterv I could make structural calculation of the service tunnel of Budapest Airport, as well. Besides the large projects I was able to work on design of several different underground structures: such as culverts made from reinforced concrete and corrugated sheet, wing walls, retaining walls and various foundations (tower foundations, bridge pile foundations).

BUILDING

I designed multifunctional sport arenas, warehouses,  small airport termial and several commercial, industrial, buildings in Hungary and Norway. In these type of structures the success always depends on the cooperation with the architects. It is always a challenge to find a structural solution that is in harmony with function and visual appearance. Besides the special structural calculation (earthquake and fire protection calculations, collision loads) the biggest challenge nowadays the 'design and build' construction method. It is the 'rapid chess competation' of structural engineer. Concentration and quick working are very important without mistakes. The responsibility of the structural engineer is very high because people's lives depend on him.

TOWER

I made static calculation for  high-voltage transmission towers, end-tensioning gantries, and various support structures for transformer and substations. In addition, I was able to make structural checking of many telecommunications towers in the last past decade. (Ivory Coast, Mexico, India, Ireland, Norway, Sweden). I also had opportunity to design structures for the Spitsbergen in the Arctic Ocean, the northernmost land in Europe and I made the structural analysis of TR-9 radome support structure at Troll Satellite Station. So I can tell that I have a structure in Antarctica, too.
